It's been a tough year for us all. Those of us who run small businesses have been been hit pretty hard, in all ways possible. No matter how hard we tried to hit back, COVID WON. Business came to a grinding halt in late March of 2020, and no matter what promotion we offered, customers still weren't visiting the shop, ordering birthday, or wedding cakes, and were even hesitant to take advantage of our free delivery option. And we get it, Covid is scary. The business that we love so much just didn't make it through. Although we fought hard to get out of our lease that we could no longer pay for (which was roughly $5k a month), our landlords wouldn't work with us, and made us stick it out to the end of the lease, which thankfully ended in December. We ended up having to take out an emergency loan to pay our rent for the majority of the year. Much thanks to the pandemic, our beloved business of 12 years is in serious debt- or, I should say, WE, personally, are in debt. My family. Its hard to ask for help, but if you feel the desire to throw a few bucks our way, we will be forever grateful. Thank you all for the many wonderful years, and we hope so much to continue baking for you all for years to come!
